The «Zonal State Archive in Glubokoe» institution held a round table «80 years of peace»

As part of the International Archives Week, on May 6, 2024, a round table «80 years of peace» was held at the Zonal State Archive in Glubokoe, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Braslav Regional Association of Museums Valery Gordov, researcher at the Glubokoe Historical and Ethnographic Museum Igor Fedorov, and directors of the Braslav, Dokshitsky, Miory and Sharkovshchinsky regional archives – Natalya Matskevich, Tatyana Dargel, Lyudmila Polyakova and Tatyana Tonkonog.

During the round table, the participants discussed the topics of the liberation of the Braslav and Glubokoye districts from the Nazi invaders, the development of regional archives in the post-war period.

The head of the department for the use and publication of documents of the State Archive in the city of Glubokoe, Tatyana Avlasova, presented to those present an exhibition of archival documents «Do you want peace? Remember the war!». The documents presented at the exhibition tell about the occupation regime during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the city of Glubokoe and the Glubokoe region.

The meeting was concluded with a small musical surprise, which was presented to the round table participants by members of the amateur club «Edelweiss». They performed wartime songs to the accompaniment of a button accordion.
