Employees of the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region took part in the presentation of publications

May 30 at the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I.Lenin, as part of the «Local History Meetings» series, a presentation of two significant publications by Alexander Viktorovich Baranovsky, first deputy director for science of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, candidate of historical sciences, took place. This is the book «Vitsebshchyna in the Dziarzhaina-teraryal settlement of Savetskaya Belarus (1919–1924)» and the collection «Talachyn region: history and cultural decline of the region».

The first edition uses documents from the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region and zonal state archives in the cities. Orsha and Polotsk. The collection of scientific articles «Talachyn Region: Historic-cultural Spadchyna Region» contains reports by employees of the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region, presented at a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 590th anniversary of the first mention of Tolochin in written sources, which took place in June 2023.
