About the visit by students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 9 of Brest named after A.F.Naganov» to the State Archive of the Brest Region

As part of the events dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, and as part of the «Archives to School» event, on May 28, 2024, the State Archive of the Brest Region was visited by 8th grade students from the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 9» «Brest named after A.F.Naganov».

Head of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents Kalustova G.D. told schoolchildren about the composition of documents on the history of the Great Patriotic War stored in the archive. During the lecture, the children were shown the film «To the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Brest from the Nazi invaders», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents. The guys also got acquainted with the exhibition of archival documents «There was a war… There was a victory!»

Next, the students were given a sightseeing tour of the archive with a visit to the archive storage and laboratory for the repair and restoration of archival documents.
