Project «Archives for School» in the Zonal State Archives in Pinsk. Lecture «Archivist – that sounds proud!»

Students of grade 7 «B» of secondary school No.1 in the city of Pinsk and grade 10 «A» of grade school No.10 of Pinsk spend their holidays usefully. The guys visited the Zonal State Archive in Pinsk on March 29, 2024, where they learned a lot of interesting things.

The archive staff gave lectures on the topics: «An archivist—that sounds proud!» and «What is an archive?». The children were told about the history of the archive, its structure, the peculiarities of storing and using archival documents, as well as the importance of the archivist profession.

At the end of the lecture, the archivists conducted tours of the archive, showed videos of the «Open Film Archive» project created by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.. The guys were very interested. The staff answered all the children’s questions.
