BSAMLA at the Republican scientific and practical seminar «100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema in the exhibition space of republican and local history museums»

On March 29, 2024, the Republican scientific and practical seminar «100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema in the exhibition space of republican and local history museums» was held at the Museum of Belarusian Cinema (a branch of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus).

During the seminar, 12 reports were reviewed by employees of republican and local history museums. All topics of the reports sounded within the framework of the following problem areas: interaction of museums with film studios; assisting filmmakers in filming feature films and documentaries; Features of the preservation and use of film and photo documents in museum collections; problems of converting film and photographic materials into digital format.

The seminar participants visited the permanent exhibition of the cinema museum.

Employees of Belarusian republican and local history museums took part in the seminar. Leading researcher Mikhail Pavlovich Kenko took part from BSAMLA and spoke during the discussion.
