Exhibition dedicated to the tragedy of the Belarusian village of Khatyn
On March 19, 2024, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus organized a photo-documentary banner exhibition «Khatyn – a shrine of national memory» at the State Enterprise «Belarusian Enterprise for Agricultural Aerial Photo-Geodetic Surveys (BelPSHAGI)», dedicated to the tragedy of the Belarusian village of Khatyn, which was burned along with its inhabitants on March 22, 1943.
The banner exhibition «Khatyn – a shrine of national memory» is based on digital copies of archive documents detailing the crimes of the Nazi occupiers and their accomplices against the civilian population of the village of Khatyn and other villages destroyed during the war. These are documents of partisans, German interrogations and reports on the events of that day, testimonies of witnesses to the Khatyn tragedy, as well as war criminals who suffered deserved punishment in the post-war period.
Leading archivist V.P.Garmatny told the company’s employees about the historical events presented as part of the exhibition.
