Virtual exhibition «Information about the family of Petrus Brovka»

The Zonal State Archive in Polotsk presents a virtual exhibition «Information about the family of Petrus Brovka» from the funds of the Literary Museum of Petrus Brovka and the Zonal State Archive in Polotsk.

Remembering his pedigree, Petrus Brovka joked that his family was the oldest in Ushachchina, because his ancestors were called Adam and Eve – Adam Iosifovich Brovka and Eva Ivanovna Tarasevich. Petrus Brovka himself was born into the family of Justin Adamovich and Elena Stepanovna in the village of Putilkovichi, which at that time was part of the Velikodoletskaya volost of the Borisov district of the Minsk province. Like many peasant families of that time, the Brovkas had plenty of relatives: brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, grandfathers and grandmothers…

The exhibition presents documents from the funds of the Zonal State Archives in Polotsk and photographs from the funds of the Petrus Brovka Literary Museum, telling about members of the Petrus Brovka family.
