On participation in the republican action «Archives – School», within the framework of the «Young Archivist» project of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Krichev»

On February 26, 2024, as part of the republican action «Archives-School», as part of the pilot project «Young Archivist», a lesson was held for students in grades 8-9 at the State Educational Institution «Rechitsa Basic School» of the Cherikovsky district – a virtual excursion «At the crossroads of three roads». The leading archivist of the Zonal State Archive in Krichev, Victoria Kondratenko introduced the students to their small homeland, the Cherikov region.

The guys watched a virtual tour of their area, got acquainted with the symbols, sights, and learned about the exploits of their fellow countrymen during the Great Patriotic War. In conclusion, the guys concluded that love for the Motherland begins with love for your small homeland, the land where you were born and raised. It’s not enough to just love your native land, you need to know its history, culture and traditions.

Also, the exhibition «At the Crossroads of Three Roads» was prepared and presented for the children.
