Presentation of a documentary exhibition at the institution «Zonal State Archive in Novogrudok»

On February 26, 2024, a presentation of a poster documentary exhibition dedicated to the 980th anniversary of the city of Novogrudok took place at the Zonal State Archive in Novogrudok. On this day, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, the state archive was visited by students of the 10th grade of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 3 of Novogrudok named after V.G. Gakhovich.»

Documents and photographs of the exhibition entitled «Novogrudok – an ancient city, a young city» talk about the preservation of significant historical, cultural and architectural monuments of Novogrudok, such as the castle, Mount Mindovga, the house-museum of Adam Mickiewicz, about the first transformations in the city in connection with the establishment of the Soviet power, heavy losses during the Great Patriotic War, the difficult period of economic recovery and return to peaceful life, urban planning in the 1960-1970s, as well as the most important events in the development of Novogrudok at the present stage.
