The Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the heads of republican archival institutions visited the Smolevichi Social and Pedagogical Center

On December 26, 2023, as part of the New Year’s charity event «Our Children», Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov and director of the National Historical Archive of Belarus M.M.Glushakov and the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art E.A.Makarenko visited the state educational institution «Smolevichi Social and Pedagogical Center».

For the leadership of the Department and state archival institutions, participation in the charity event has become a good tradition. Similar meetings with the children of the Smolevichi Social and Pedagogical Center have been held annually for more than 5 years. This Center provides socio-pedagogical, psychological and other types of assistance to children who find themselves in extreme life situations.

Today, the Center houses minor pupils who have prepared a bright holiday program for their guests dedicated to the upcoming New Year – 2024.

The Director of the Department wholeheartedly congratulated the children and teaching staff of the Center on the upcoming holidays. I wished them good health, fulfillment of all their cherished desires, interesting discoveries, joy, so that each of them would feel the magic of the holiday.

Guests of the Center made the children’s cherished wishes come true and presented them with holiday gifts.

During this visit, the director of the Department and the heads of the archives got acquainted with the living conditions of the Center’s students and discussed issues of further cooperation.
