On November 29, 2023, a ceremonial meeting of the archive staff was held at the State Archives of the Gomel Region institution as part of the information day.

At the meeting, the director of the archive A.N. Suschevich spoke, who told the team about the working visit to the Gomel region on November 24, 2023 by the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov, and also conveyed congratulations to the team and a Certificate of Honor from the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus in connection with the 100th anniversary of the state archival institution. In his speech, Andrei Nikolaevich once again noted the importance and success of joint exhibition projects, which are carried out at a high professional level, including thanks to the participation of such leading archival institutions of the country as the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents, which took part in the preparation of the exhibition project «Unconquered Gomel region» (to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Gomel from the Nazi invaders). The exhibition, which was opened by the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov on November 23, 2023 at the Gomel Regional Museum of Military Glory, was highly appreciated by the general public.

Further, the director of the archive is A.N. Suschevich. brought to the attention of the team information about important events in the country and abroad, including the working trip of the President of Belarus A.G.Lukashenko in Gomel, meeting on the creation of military prosecutors’ offices, military-political and other issues. Andrei Nikolaevich paid great attention to the issue of holding elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation and local Councils of Deputies of the twenty-ninth convocation on a single voting day – February 25, 2024.
