Participation of a representative of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus in the international scientific conference «Church science at the beginning of the third millennium: current problems and development prospects»

On November 16, 2023, the VIII International Scientific Conference «Church Science at the Beginning of the Third Millennium: Current Problems and Development Prospects» was held at the Minsk Theological Academy. The event was attended by representatives of religious, scientific and government educational institutions from Belarus and Russia. In total, more than 80 reports were presented.

The conference included a plenary session and the work of 8 thematic sections, which examined issues of Orthodox biblical studies, theology, religious studies, church-practical disciplines and the history of the Russian Orthodox Church. The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus I.A. Vishnevsky. He acted as one of the moderators of the section «Current problems in the history of the Russian Orthodox Church in the 1st half. XX century» and presented the report «The personality of Archpriest Simeon Ogloblin as reflected in the materials of the archival fund of the Belarusian Orthodox Holy Synod».
