Discussion in the Central Laboratory of the topic of the October Revolution and Belarusian statehood
On November 3, on the eve of the October Revolution Day, a meeting of laboratory staff was held at the Central Laboratory for the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus, dedicated to the topic of the significance of the October Revolution for the Belarusian people.
Opening the meeting, laboratory director V.L. Klyuiko spoke about the prerequisites and course of the October Revolution, as well as about the features of the events taking place at that time on the territory of modern Belarus.
Those present watched with interest the newsreel of events dedicated to the victory of the Great October Socialist Revolution in Minsk, prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents.
Deputy Director of the Laboratory Mezga S.I. in his speech emphasized the significance of the October Revolution in the formation of Belarusian statehood, the self-determination of the Belarusian people and the creation of a national state on a Soviet basis.
