On the holding of an event by the State Archive of the Brest Region as part of the pilot project «Young Archivist»
As part of the republican action «Archives for School» and the pilot project «Young Archivist», as well as in accordance with the work plan of the branch of the Department of History of Belarus and Political Science of the Educational Institution «Brest State University named after. A.S. Pushkin» at the institution «State Archive of the Brest Region» for the 2023/2024 academic year. On October 26, 2023, an educational and methodological seminar was held for 1st year students of the Faculty of History on the topic: «State Archive of the Brest Region: history, structure , funds».
During the seminar, the director of the State Archive of the Brest Region, Karapuzova A.G. spoke about the history of the archive, its structure, areas of activity, composition and content of archive documents, and also answered questions.
The first-year students were especially interested in the composition of archival documents on certain topics, how to search for necessary information in archival documents, which would later be useful to them for writing coursework.
