About conducting an excursion for students of the College of Information and Communication Technologies

On June 22, 2023, on the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people, as well as within the framework of the «Archives for School» campaign, an excursion was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus for students of the College of Information and Communication Technologies of the educational institution «Belarusian State Academy of Communications».

The deputy director of the archive E.V.Kushnova addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. Researcher of the Publications Department T.N.Ageenko spoke about the history of the archive, the composition and features of document storage, exhibition and publication activities of archivists. Head of the department of funds of personal origin I.V.Dorogush acquainted the guests with a documentary exhibition dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union V.Z.Korzh. During a sightseeing tour of the archive, students visited the archives of funds of personal origin and the period of the Great Patriotic War, where they got acquainted with the documents of state and party leaders, materials of partisan formations, cards of those driven to Germany, albums of destroyed cities, etc.
