June 24, 2023 – Inventor and Innovator Day

The Day of the Inventor and Innovator unites people of different professions and specialties, talented, creatively gifted, able to go beyond the boundaries of the usual and well-known in their work.

This holiday was introduced at the suggestion of the USSR Academy of Sciences on June 25, 1957. On this day, the best rationalization proposals made over the past year were selected at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and their authors were awarded. Currently, the «Day of the Inventor and Innovator» is still celebrated in the Republic of Belarus on the last Saturday of June.

In the Year of Peace and Creation, the importance of invention and rationalization especially increases, since inventions and rationalization proposals undoubtedly serve the purpose of strengthening the ideas of peace and creative labor in society.

The employees of the Department for the Use and Publication of Documents of the State Archive of the Minsk Region have prepared a virtual exhibition dedicated to the Day of the Inventor and Innovator.
