On May 29, 2023, in the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and on the eve of June 1 – International Children’s Day, an event was organized for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 11 in Vitebsk», telling about the main holidays of the country and holidays dedicated to children in the period from 1917 to 1991.

The lesson «Journey to the country of the USSR: Archival time machine from calendars and postcards» was dedicated to the International Children’s Day.

Those present got acquainted with the children’s holidays of the USSR period and learned about how the children had a rest during the summer holidays; as well as schoolchildren were able to see what other major holidays were in the country in 1917-1991. and which ones we are currently celebrating.
