About participation in the event «My clan according to the sword and spinning wheel»

On May 16, 2023, the Literary Museum of Maxim Bogdanovich hosted the evening «My Family According to the Sword and the Spinning Wheel», timed to coincide with the International Day of the Family. During the event, I.V. Myshkovets, a leading researcher in the accounting and storage sector of the M. Bogdanovich fund of the Literary Museum of Maxim Bogdanovich, spoke about the joint work of the museum staff, relatives of Maxim Bogdanovich and friends of the museum in compiling the poet’s genealogy, identifying documents that relate to his ancestors.

Researcher at the Department of Publications of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus T.N. Ageenko made a presentation «Family History in the Documents of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus», in which she spoke about the information potential of the archive funds when searching for biographies of specific persons, information on family history, gave examples of the most interesting biographies that have been reconstructed with the help of archive documents. At the end of her speech, Tatyana Nikolaevna gave some advice to the guests of the event on how to search for relatives and where to start.
