On conducting a sightseeing tour in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»
On May 12-13, 2023, as part of the republican campaigns «Archives for School» and «My Family – My Country», as well as events dedicated to the Day of State Symbols, employees of the State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region conducted an excursion for students 9 and Grade 10 of patriotic education of secondary school No. 12.
Employees of the department for the use of documents Shevchik Tatiana and Bryuzgina Svetlana told the history of the archive and archives, the composition of the stored documents and focused on genealogical documents. They told about the specifics of the work of our institution and suggested that the children find their relatives in the name card index.
On the eve of the celebration of the Day of State Symbols, the children were presented with a thematic exhibition with state symbols (flag, coat of arms, anthem). The students listened to the anthem of the Republic of Belarus, presented a short documentary film: «Symbols of the people». The staff of the archive told interesting facts from the history of the creation of the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus.
Further, during the sightseeing tour, the schoolchildren visited the archives, during which the head of the department for ensuring the safety of documents and funds Bartsuleva Svetlana acquainted with the activities of the archive for the preservation of documents, the mode of their storage. The museum exposition «History of the Party Archive» was also presented for the children.
