Employees of the State Archive of the Vitebsk region take part in the solemn events in honor of the 78th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War

On May 5, 2023, on the eve of Victory Day, solemn events will be held in Vitebsk in honor of the 78th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

One of them took place at the military cemetery on Titova Street and near the stele installed on the site of the «5th Regiment» death camp, where tens of thousands of citizens brutally tortured and shot by the fascists are buried.

Residents of the city held a minute of silence to honor the memory of fallen soldiers and civilians.

Employees of the State Archive of the Vitebsk region took part in the event.

We are grateful to our veterans, people who freed the planet from fascism with their own lives, gave us the opportunity to live under a peaceful sky today, to work, to develop.
