On a working visit to the State Archives of Vitebsk Region
On April 21, 2023, First Deputy Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management O.A. Ledovskaya paid a working visit to the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region.
O.A. Ledovskaya heard the director of the archive T.M. Svistunova, who informed about the work of the institution in 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, got acquainted with the material and technical base of the archive, the working conditions of archivists.
At the meeting with the staff of the archive, problematic issues and proposals on ways to solve them were discussed.
As part of the working visit, the First Deputy Director of the Department got acquainted with the conditions for storing documents, including the party complex, in the archive buildings on the street. Kalinina, 22, st. Pravdy, 48, st. Lenina, 32, and also visited the archive building at Frunze Avenue, 90A, where reconstruction work is being carried out.
Summing up the results of the meeting, OA Ledovskaya positively assessed the work of archivists. As a result of the visit, the archivists were given specific tasks for the current period, which will be reflected in the protocol of instructions.
