On conducting a sightseeing tour in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

On April 12, 2023, in the Year of Peace and Creation, the «Archives to School» campaign, employees of the State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region conducted an excursion for 5th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 40».

Employees of the department for the use of documents Shevchik T.V. and Bryuzgin S.N. told the history of the archive and archival affairs, familiarized the children with thematic exhibitions prepared according to the documents and materials of the archive: «Defense of Mogilev», «Partisan Memory», «Genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War». A film was presented for students: «Defense of the city of Mogilev».

During the sightseeing tour, the schoolchildren visited the archives, during which the head of the department for ensuring the safety of documents and funds Bartsuleva S.V. familiarized with the activities of the archive for the preservation of documents, with the composition of the stored documents, the mode of their storage. The museum exposition «History of the Party Archive» was also presented for the children.

At the end of the tour, the children enjoyed a short course in typing on a mechanical typewriter.
