On trade union reception of citizens in the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents»

On March 30, 2023, from 13.00 to 15.00, a trade union reception of citizens was held on the basis of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents» (hereinafter – BGAKFFD).

This event touched upon issues related to the clarification of the norms of legislation governing the sphere of labor and related legal relations. The trade union reception was held by Valery Ivanovich Matokhin, chief legal labor inspector of the Minsk regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Energy, Gas and Fuel Industry Workers, prosecutor of the Dzerzhinsky district Vladimir Petrovich Nepokupny, chairman of the Dzerzhinsky regional association of trade union organizations Anzhelika Olegovna Prokharevich.

In his opening speech, V.I. Matokhin paid special attention to the work of women. The speaker explained the norms and restrictions that are present in the legislation in relation to women’s work. It was also told in detail about the nuances of providing holidays and days off for mothers with 2 or more minor children.

V.P. Nepokupny noted the high role of the staff of the BGAKFFD in assisting in the investigation of the criminal case on the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. Also, the prosecutor of the Dzerzhinsky district recalled the right of every citizen to seek advice from the prosecutor’s office.

A.I. Prokharevich voiced the possibility of obtaining consultations on a variety of issues related to labor relations. Separately, the chairman of the Dzerzhinsk regional association of trade union organizations emphasized that such questions often need to be asked in order to prevent the employee from misleading himself in the intricacies of regulatory legal acts.
Also, the employees of BGAKFFD were given the opportunity to personally clarify all their questions in the field of labor legislation, to receive legal advice.

The film crew of the UE «Publishing House «Prof-Press» filmed on the territory of BGAKFFD. The plot will be devoted to the archive, its staff, as well as the legal methods of the work of the trade union committee.
