Death camps” with the report “Documents of the State Archive of the Vitebsk region on the genocide of the inhabitants of the city of Vitebsk during the Great Patriotic War”

On March 23, the presentation of the book “Genocide of the Belarusian people. Death camps.

The book was published under the editorship of the Prosecutor General Andrei Shved.

The presentation was attended by Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of the Execution of Legislation in the Armed Forces, Senior Counselor of Justice of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Vitebsk Region Metelitsa I.V., Chief Specialist of the Main Directorate for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Beletsky A.I., students of universities in Vitebsk.

The publication presents, including previously unknown, information about the death camps on the territory of the BSSR during the Nazi occupation (1941-1944). It includes materials of the criminal case on the genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period, as well as information from the works of domestic and foreign scientists.

The event was attended by employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk region. The report “Documents of the State Archive of the Vitebsk region on the genocide of the inhabitants of the city of Vitebsk during the Great Patriotic War” was made by the Deputy Director Buevich T.V.
