The thematic lesson «My profession is the archivist» was held in gymnasium No. 1 of Vitebsk named after J.I. Alferov.

The event was held as part of the «Archives for School» campaign for students of the 4th «B» class. Its moderator was the leading archivist of the State Archive of the Vitebsk region, Tsentomirskaya Natalia Vyacheslavovna, whose son is studying in this class. She told those present about the role of archival institutions to maintain documentary heritage, conditions and composition of documents stored in the archive, as well as the children learned where to start work on the preparation of their genealogy.

Of great interest aroused Victor’s students to determine the post-war photographs of educational institutions and attractions of the city of Vitebsk.
