For students of Polotsk State University, a lecture «Fundamentals of Archiving» was held

March 2, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, in the «Zonal State Archive in Polotsk» institution for 2nd year students of the Faculty of Humanities, specialty «History» of the Educational Establishment «Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk» lecture «Fundamentals of Archiving» was held.

The director of the archive Lazarenok Lyudmila Viktorovna acquainted the students with the history of the creation and activities of the archive, the composition of documents, the main tasks facing the archive in terms of acquisition, preservation and use of documents.

The head of the department for the use and publication of documents, Dichkevich Marina Mikhailovna, acquainted with the work of the reading room of the archive, spoke about the peculiarities of organizing work with documents.

Maria Olegovna Semchenko, an archivist of the II category, spoke about the peculiarities of the restoration of documents in the archive.

At the end of the tour, the students visited the archives.
