«Archives for School»: Visiting the Archives by Students of the State Educational Establishment «Secondary School No. 46 in Mogilev»

On February 23, 2023, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, an excursion was held at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region for 10th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 46 of Mogilev».

Head of the department O.V. Trotskaya and archivist of the 1st quarter. category of the department for the scientific use of documents and information of the archive of A.V. Petukhov introduced the children to the history of the archive, the service area of the archive, the procedure for accessing documents, as well as archival funds promising for searching for documents on the history of the school and the surrounding area.

The students were also familiarized with archival documents about the genocide of the civilian population in the area of the village of Kazimirovka (now within the city of Mogilev).
