Conducting a sightseeing tour in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

In the Year of Peace and Creation and as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, on February 7, 2023, an excursion was held at the «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» institution for history teacher Roman Cheslavovich Ventskevich and grade 9 students of the State Educational Institution «Mezhisetskaya Secondary School».

Head of Department Shevchik T.V. and leading archivist Bryuzgina S.N. told about the defense of the city of Mogilev in July 1941, about the partisan movement on the territory of the Mogilev region, about the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and acquainted students with documentary exhibitions prepared by the archive staff on these topics.

Director of the archive Bartsuleva S.V. told about the history of creation and the main activities of the archive. And also within the framework of this event, a sightseeing tour of the archives was held with schoolchildren, during which the director of the archive acquainted with the composition of the stored documents, the mode of their storage.

During the tour, students got acquainted with the exhibition exposition on the history of the party archive. At the end of the excursion, the schoolchildren worked with a personal card index in order to clarify information on their relatives. We took a photo for memory.
