The State Archives of the Minsk Region was visited with a tour by 3rd year students of the branch of MSLU «Linguistics and Humanities College»

On February 8, 2023, as part of the Republican campaign «Archives for School» and events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, an excursion was held in the State Archives of the Minsk Region for 3rd year students of the branch of MSLU «Linguistics and Humanities College», who are doing practice on the basis of the archive.

During a sightseeing tour, the head of the department for the use and publication of documents Lukashevich I.N. acquainted the children with the history of the archives of Belarus, the formation of the state archive and the Minsk region. College students learned about the importance of preserving documents as a historical and cultural written heritage of the state and highly appreciated the role of archives in the life of society and the country

A keen interest among students was caused by visiting the archives and the department of digitization, restoration and binding of archival documents. The students, together with the archivists of the department, took part in the repair and restoration of the archival document.
