On conducting classes and excursions for students and teachers of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus

On February 7, 2023, within the framework of the Republican campaign «Archives for School» and an agreement on cooperation with the Educational Institution «Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus», classes and excursions were held in turn for two groups of students and teachers at the National Historical Archives of Belarus Institute.

Within the framework of the events, the Deputy Director of the Archive M.D.Makarov told the guests about the main milestones in the history of the NIA of Belarus, the composition and features of the storage of the institution’s funds. The leading researcher of the Department for the use of documents and information, V.N.Denisov, conducted tours of the archives for two groups of students and teachers of the Institute. After that, the guests were given time to get acquainted with the samples of act books of judicial institutions of the 16th-18th centuries. and materials of the most resonant criminal and civil cases of the late XIX – early XX centuries, which are stored in the funds of the NIA of Belarus.

The presented information aroused great interest of those present. After classes and excursions, the employees of the NIA of Belarus answered numerous questions from the guests.
