New Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov
On January 17, 2023, the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G.Lukashenko agreed to the appointment of O.L.Voinov as Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
By the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated January 18, 2023 No. 45, O.L.Voinov was appointed to this position. V.I.Kurash was dismissed from the post of Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management by the same resolution in connection with his resignation.
On January 23, 2023, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus S.N.Khomenko introduced the new director of the Department for Archives and Records Management to the team and congratulated him on his appointment to a new position. O. L.Voinov served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus from 1988 to 2022. He headed the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, at the same time he was an assistant to the Minister of Defense for international military cooperation. He has state awards – the Order «For Service to the Motherland» of the 3rd degree, medals «For Impeccable Service» of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degrees; honorary title «Honored Specialist of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus». From May 10, 2022 to January 20, 2023, O.L. Voinov worked as director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus.
The Minister of Justice wished the new head of the Department of Archives and Records Management success in his professional field, expressing confidence that his activities in responsible positions in the past will contribute to the effective solution of the tasks currently facing the archive industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Justice as a whole.
The Minister of Justice also thanked V.I.Kurash for many years of conscientious work, and awarded him with the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Justice for his high professionalism and significant contribution to the development of the archival service of Belarus.
