The zonal state archive in Novogrudok continues to actively cooperate with educational institutions of the city and the region as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

The reason for the next meeting was the documentary poster exhibition «Keepers of History», which was visited on October 13, 2022 by students of the 8th grade of the Special Boarding School in Novogrudok.

In the reading room of the archive, director Alla Stepanovna Zabelinskaya addressed the children with a welcoming speech, who introduced the students to the main activities of the archival institution and the composition of the stored documents.

Alla Stepanovna focused on the history of the creation and development of the Zonal State Archive in the city of Novogrudok, referring in her speech to the documents and photographs of the exhibition «Keepers of History». The children also learned that 2022 is an anniversary year for the archival industry of the Republic of Belarus – this year the archival service of Belarus turned 100 years old.

The meeting ended with an excursion to the archives, where the schoolchildren saw how the archive stores documents and got acquainted with the basic requirements for ensuring their safety.
