On 12 September 2022 the State Archives of Public Organizations of Gomel Region holds an Open Day dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Archival Service in Belarus

On this special day, the State Archives will open its doors for the first time to all interested guests and introduce them to the documents that have been kept in its archives for many decades.

The visitors will get acquainted with authentic archival documents on the history of the Great Patriotic War, archival finding aids, reference and information materials, and the working procedure in the reading room.

This day everyone will get advice on issues of acquisition, accounting, storage and use of archival documents, conducting independent archival document search and many useful information.

The archive specialists will help to find information about your family and will give recommendations on how to find information in the state archives of the Republic of Belarus.

During the Open Day the archivists will give visitors a tour around the archives and will organize exhibitions of archival documents and photos.

The Open Doors Day at the State Archives is a great opportunity to take a look at the archives «from the inside» and deal with the issues that are relevant to you.
