Employees of the State Archives of Minsk Region laid flowers at the tomb of Yanka Kupala at the Military Cemetery in Minsk
On 28 June 2022, as part of the events dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory and the 80th anniversary of the tragic death of the national poet, for the purpose of civic and patriotic education of young people, employees of the State Archives laid flowers at the monument to the classic of Belarusian literature Yanka Kupala.
The national poet Yanka Kupala passed away 80 years ago. He was buried at the Vagankovskoye Cemetery in Moscow, but in 1962 his ashes were moved to Minsk and reburied next to his mother’s grave.
As a sign of remembrance, flowers were placed at the monument, «Kupala’s favorite white roses».
