The Local State Archives in Orsha holds an exhibition of archival documents dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the creation of the partisan unit «Uncle Kostya» in the village of Logi, Orsha district and the 80th anniversary of the death of the Hero of the Soviet Union Konstantin Zaslonov
Since 27 June 2022, the Local State Archives in Orsha holds an exhibition of archival documents «About the heroes of bygone times», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the creation of the partisan detachment «Uncle Kostya» in the village of Logi, Orsha district and the 80th anniversary of the death of the Hero of the Soviet Union Konstantin Zaslonov. This is the joint project of the Archives with the Memorial Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union Konstantin Zaslonov.
The Great Patriotic War revealed many strong-willed people, heroes of the front and rear who showed courage, bravery and self-sacrifice. Among them is Konstantin Sergeyevich Zaslonov, who, thanks to his determination and strong character, received an education, an interesting profession, went from a railway mechanic to the head of the largest locomotive depot of the Western Railway in Orsha.
We are proud that in our town, in our depot lived and worked this remarkable man, who gave his short and bright life for his country, for the native people, for us. Zaslonov’s name will remain forever in our hearts.
