A training webinar “Topical Issues of Legislative Regulation and Work Practice in Electronic Records Management and Archival Storage of Electronic Records in Government Agencies and Other Institutions

On 30 May 2022, the Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Records (BelNITsED) together with the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) held the training webinar “Topical issues of legal regulation and work practice in the sphere of electronic records management and archival storage of electronic records in government agencies and other institutions”.

The webinar program was developed taking into account the results of research work on preparation of changes and additions to the regulatory legal framework of electronic records management and archival storage of electronic records, as well as the practice of accepting electronic records for permanent storage by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus as part of the Information System of the Archive of Electronic Records of the National Archival Fonds of the Republic of Belarus.

The webinar was held on the basis of the BelNITsED, with remote listeners (employees of state archival institutions and the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus) taking part in the online workshop by means of video conferencing (Google Meet).

The webinar included the following reports:

1) Olga Zhuk, Head of Electronic Records Management Division at BelNITsED. “Changes and additions to the normative legal framework of electronic records management and archival storage of electronic records”.
2) Elena Stukanova, Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. “From the experience of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in accepting electronic records for permanent preservation”.
3) Lyubov Signevich, Deputy Director of BelNITsED. “Important prerequisites for successful interaction with acquisition sources in accepting electronic records for permanent preservation”.

The speakers answered the questions that arose during their presentations.
