The Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Records organized and conducted an online training seminar for representatives of central, regional and local state archival institutions of the Republic of Belarus

The Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Records has organized and conducted an online training seminar for representatives of central, regional and local state archival institutions of the Republic of Belarus. The report was delivered by Olga Zhuk, Head of the Acquisition Division of the Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Records.

The event was attended by representatives of 28 state archival institutions.

The seminar focused on current issues in the field of archival storage of documents in electronic form, electronic records and information resources:

• Information resources of the organization: accounting, preservation, the procedure for creating archival copies of information resources;
• Appraisal of electronic records and information resources;
• Regulations for the information system of the electronic records archive of the National Archive Fonds of the Republic of Belarus;
• Improvement of the regulatory and procedural basis of the Republic of Belarus in the field of electronic records management and archival storage of electronic records and information resources.

The final part of the online seminar was devoted to answering questions. The following questions were answered:

• the possibility of including social media accounts in the organization’s file plan;
• specific features of transferring archival copies of information resources for permanent storage;
• functional differences between the DMS and the information system of the organization’s archive, and others.
