Dear colleagues, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!<\/b><\/i><\/center>
\nThe year 2009, which was as busy as ever for Belarusian archives, is coming to an end. I would like to thank all workers in the State Archival Service of the Republic of Belarus for their intensive fruitful work that helped us to achieve good results with planned activities and expected time frames. In 2009, for success in their work, 11 archive specialists were awarded with the breastplate “Honorary Archivist of Belarus”; 21 specialists, with the Honorary Diploma of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Republic of Belarus. <\/p>\n

In this year, despite its difficult financial environment, we continued to safeguard our archival holdings and to strengthen the archives\u2019 resources and their material and technical basis. The modern information technologies have been increasingly introduced into the activities of Belarusian archives. In the work with citizens’\u2019 inquiries, a special attention was paid to the filfilment of President of Belarus Decree No 2 dated 27 December 2006 “On Measures for Further Debureaucratization of the State Machinery”.<\/p>\n

I am confident that all the objectives set by the Belarusian archives for the year 2010 will be successfully accomplished.<\/p>\n

I would like to wish you and your families good health, happiness and welfare in the coming new year!<\/p>\n
