In the church crypt the participants laid the capsule with the soil brought from the WWI battlefield at Smorgon. The heroic defense of Smorgon in WWI has become a symbol of this war in Belarus. The white hall of the church hosted the opening of the thematic exhibition and a presentation of the book \u201cObelisks in memory of the Russian imperial army in the First World War\u201d (authors E. Khoroshevich, A. Sharkov). <\/p>\n<p>Director of the National Archives of Belarus A. Demyanyuk and Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus D. Yatsevich attended the ceremonial events.
