November 7, 1917, stands as a significant date in the annals of many nations, having shaped the course of world history. The October Revolution ushered in a new era in human development and ranks among the most consequential political events of the 20th century, profoundly influencing the trajectory of global history. While the Great October Socialist Revolution took place on October 25 (according to the Julian calendar), the transition to the Gregorian calendar in February 1918 shifted this date to November 7.

Exploring the history of this holiday offers a deeper understanding of our past and helps us make sense of the present. The ideals of unity, solidarity among working people, and human equality remain as relevant today as they were then.

The students were also shown the photographic exhibition «Chronicles of the Great October: Frozen Moments» — a reminder that every photograph serves as a document in which time has stood still. The students were invited to look into the past and witness history firsthand.
