On October 29, 2026, a delegation of archivists from India<\/strong> visited the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as NARB). The delegation included:<\/p>\n

Mr.Sanjay Rastogi, Director General of the National Archives of India<\/strong>;<\/p>\n

Dr.Devendra Kumar Sharma, Deputy Director of the National Archives of India<\/strong>;<\/p>\n

Mr.R.S.Bora, Director of the Library Division at the Ministry of Culture of India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The guests were welcomed by the Belarusian side, including NARB Director E.A.Stukanova<\/strong>, Deputy Director O.V.Skomoroshchenko<\/strong>, as well as heads of NARB structural units and other staff members.<\/p>\n

The heads of both national archives provided an overview of their respective institutions’ activities. Specifically for this visit, a selection of archival documents detailing the history of interaction and cooperation between Belarus and India was prepared.<\/p>\n

The participants discussed the potential for signing a cooperation agreement between the archival institutions of the two countries. Such an agreement would aim to expand the utilization of national archival holdings, facilitate researcher access to documents, and foster the exchange of expertise in the digitalization of archival operations, among other areas.<\/p>\n

E.A.Stukanova<\/strong> invited her Indian colleagues to participate in a conference marking the 100th anniversary of NARB<\/strong>, scheduled for May 2027.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads of the National Archives of Belarus and India exchanged publications from their respective institutions as a commemorative gesture. <\/p>\n
