<\/td>\n<\/tr>\nOn October 15, 2026, the Maksim Bahdanovich Literary Museum<\/strong> hosted a memorial event titled \u00abThe Patient Considers Himself a Poet\u00bb<\/strong>, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of Veniamin Blazhenny<\/strong> \u2014 one of the most distinctive Russian-language poets in Belarus. Staff from the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art<\/strong> (BGAMLI) took part in the event, which was organized in collaboration with the \u00abDegas\u2019s Cupboard\u00bb<\/strong> (Shkaf Dega) creative workshop.<\/p>\n The evening\u2019s program featured a lecture on the poet\u2019s life and creative journey, readings of his poems, and the screening of a documentary film in which people who knew the poet shared their personal recollections of him.<\/p>\n BGAMLI holds the personal collection (fonds) of Veniamin Blazhenny.<\/strong> It should be noted that the majority of the poet\u2019s creative legacy is housed at the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art. However, in Belarus, efforts to locate and assemble an archive for Blazhenny were successfully initiated in 1999 by a special commission on the poet\u2019s literary legacy, established under the Union of Belarusian Writers.
