{"id":1025443,"date":"2026-09-15T09:43:56","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T06:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/?p=1025443"},"modified":"2026-09-15T09:43:56","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T06:43:56","slug":"open-house-at-the-state-archive-in-orsha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/news\/1025443","title":{"rendered":"Open House at the State Archive in Orsha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On September 14, 2026, as part of <strong>a unified Open House<\/strong> event dedicated to <strong>the Year of the Belarusian Woman<\/strong>, <strong>the State Archive in Orsha<\/strong> opened its doors to anyone interested in learning about its operations.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors were presented with <strong>exhibitions of archival documents, such as \u00abHeroines in Greatcoats: A Life of Heroism\u00bb (or \u00abCourage in Women&#8217;s Hands\u00bb) and \u00abThe Fire of War Did Not Consume the Soul&#8230;\u00bb<\/strong>; archive specialists also conducted a workshop on boxing files and bundling them for storage.<\/p>\n<p>Students from <strong>the B.L.Khigrin Secondary School No.2 in Orsha<\/strong> were shown the documentary film <strong>\u00abIndependence Day: Chronicles of Belarusian Statehood\u00bb<\/strong>, produced by <strong>the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Guests learned about the composition of the archive&#8217;s holdings, toured the reading room and the document storage areas, and representatives from various organizations received consultations on archival practices and records management.
