On September 8, 2026, an official delegation from the Uzarchive Agency (Republic of Uzbekistan)<\/strong> visited the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI). The meeting was led by O.L.Voinov, Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

BGAMLI Director E.A.Makarenko<\/strong> welcomed the Uzbek colleagues. In her address, she outlined the institution’s key areas of activity, paying special attention to the archive-museum’s research and publishing work, and presented unique publications based on its extensive archival holdings.<\/p>\n

As part of the visit program, leading archivist T.V.Kekeleva<\/strong> presented a specially curated documentary exhibition titled \u00abShchyrae syabroustva\u00bb<\/strong> (\u00abSincere Friendship\u00bb); the exhibits vividly illustrated the rich history of Belarusian-Uzbek literary and cultural ties.<\/p>\n

A highlight of the meeting\u2014both striking and moving\u2014was the presentation of documents from the personal collection of the renowned architect and Honored Architect of the BSSR, Leonid Levin<\/strong>. The presentation was given by his daughter, G.L.Levina<\/strong>. She spoke about her father’s deep creative and personal connection to Uzbekistan\u2014a place he visited frequently, drawing inspiration from its culture and developing architectural projects\u2014sentiments that were later warmly reflected in his memoirs. Guests were shown not only valuable documentary sources but also unique, authentic items from the family collection: genuine handmade clay toys, traditional snuffboxes made from dried gourds, and pieces of traditional Uzbek clothing brought back by L.Levin from his travels.<\/p>\n

The meeting concluded with a traditional exchange of commemorative gifts. The visit by the delegation from the Uzarchive Agency took place in an atmosphere of genuine professional interest. The event marked an important step in strengthening international archival ties and fostering bilateral cultural dialogue between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n
