They learned: in what historical period and why did German families appear on Belarusian soil? Where was the Lutheran Church located and which prominent Germans were buried in the city&#8217;s Lutheran Cemetery? How and when was Northern Lane formed in the German Quarter and who lived there?How did the Girshi Fried brick factory emerge and where did its blue clay come from?<\/p>\n<p>This knowledge allowed us to re-read the history of Minsk and better understand the cultural characteristics of our founders\u2014writers Artur and Vitaly Zeidel-Volsky, Germans by origin, actresses Ilza Lakshtanova (n\u00e9e Shulmeister) of the Maxim Gorky National Academic Drama Theater, Yuliana Vitan-Dubeykovskaya, and others.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\"  width=\"100%\" cellpadding=\"5\" cellspacing=\"0\" class=\"gen_table\">\n<tr align='center'>\n<td align='center'><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1-30.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" id=\"media-1086607\" class=\"wp-image-1086607 alignnone size-full\" width=\"60%\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align='center'>1.
