Belarus Segodnya\u00bb<\/strong> visited <strong>the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa<\/strong>. The meeting was prompted by the publication of letters from <strong>the Great Patriotic War<\/strong> on the website <strong>\u00abArchives of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Natalia Pachitskaya<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Preservation and State Records of Documents, and <strong>Sergei Zharnosenko<\/strong>, a first-category archeographer in the Department of Information and Document Use, spoke with <strong>Ruslan Proleskovsky<\/strong>, the newspaper&#8217;s correspondent for the Gomel Region, about the archive&#8217;s work with letters. Specifically, they discussed identifying letters in the archive&#8217;s collections and searching for information about their authors\u2014war veterans and others. The importance of such documents for society and the state as valuable historical and biographical sources was emphasized.
