On July 14, 2026, Andrei Valerievich Kucher<\/strong>, an archivist in the Documents and Information Management Department of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Center<\/strong>, held a film lecture for campers at the Dzerzhinsky District Center for Tourism and Local History, located in the village of Stankovo, as part of the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Andrei Kucher explained the archive’s work to the children, detailing its structure and objectives. He focused on the types of documents stored in the archive, the methods used to organize them, and how they are preserved. The importance of archival materials for scientific and documentary research, as well as for educating the younger generation, was explained in detail.<\/p>\n

At the end of the event, an archival employee showed a documentary about the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, created using film footage from the archive’s collection. This was a new and captivating experience for the children \u2013 the film not only introduced them to the natural beauty of the reserve but also raised many questions. The students eagerly asked questions about the filming location, the animals and plants of the Berezinsky Reserve, and the work of the archivists who made the film possible.<\/p>\n

The event was an important contribution to educational outreach, expanding knowledge about nature and culture, and fostering an interest in history and environmental conservation among the younger generation.<\/p>\n
