July 3rd \u2013 Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> \u2013 is a sacred date. This year, the city of Dzerzhinsk celebrates not only Independence Day but also the 880th anniversary of the city’s founding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong> (BGAKFFD) also participated in the Independence Day celebrations in Dzerzhinsk: they participated in a rally and the festive program \u00abIn Memory of the Belarusian Land\u00bb, dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n

In memory of those who fell in the Great Patriotic War, Archive Director A.N.Gonchar and Deputy Director T.I.Aleshkevich laid a basket of flowers at the fraternal cemetery<\/strong>. The main national holiday brought together local government representatives, staff of institutions and organizations, work teams, law enforcement officials, military personnel, children and youth, veterans, and activists of public associations.<\/p>\n

The holiday was marked by another important event: three BGAKFFD employees were accepted into the ranks of the \u00abBelaya Rus\u00bb public organization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The culmination of the holiday was the participation of archive staff in the traditional \u00abLet’s Sing the Anthem Together\u00bb<\/strong> event.<\/p>\n

The independence of our state is founded on the achievements of the victorious generation. This holiday is imbued with a sense of boundless gratitude to those who, without sparing their own lives, defended our land and gave us freedom.<\/p>\n
