On July 2, 2026, a truly inspiring event unfolded in the conference hall of the National Historical Archives of Belarus<\/strong>. The staff gathered to celebrate the summer’s most important dates \u2013 Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 88th anniversary of the archive’s founding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

July 3 is a sacred date. This year, the entire country commemorates the 82nd anniversary of its liberation from Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War. The Belarusian people endured some difficult times on their historical path to independence, but today Belarusians proudly build their future in a peaceful and independent country. To mark this anniversary, the staff was shown a documentary film, \u00abIndependence Day: A Chronicle of Belarusian Statehood\u00bb<\/strong>, produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On July 5, the National Historical Archives of Belarus celebrates its 88th anniversary<\/strong>. Today, the National Historical Archives of Belarus is more than just an institution; it is the largest repository of unique documents on the history of the Belarusian people from the 14th to the early 20th centuries. The historical heart of the country beats within its walls. Numerous priceless manuscripts and unique monuments of national culture are carefully preserved here. The earliest of these are authentic parchment documents from the 14th to 17th centuries, written in Old Belarusian, Old Polish, and Latin. These documents include grants and deeds of gift from the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and the Kings of Poland, as well as diplomatic and domestic documents. The archive is a major treasure trove for genealogical research, helping thousands of people restore their family trees.<\/p>\n

Archive Director Mikhail Glushakov<\/strong> and Deputy Director Natalia Buloichik<\/strong> addressed the staff with warm words, thanking them for their daily, painstaking work and dedication, wishing them good health, a peaceful sky above their heads, and inspiration for new discoveries.<\/p>\n

The meeting culminated in recognition of the outstanding staff.<\/p>\n

For their conscientious work, high professionalism, and significant personal contribution to the development of archival science, the following were awarded the Certificate of Honor of the National Historical Archives of Belarus:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sofia Yaroslavovna Tratsevskaya<\/strong>, Head of the Archival Storage Facility in the Document and Collections Preservation Department;<\/p>\n

Yulia Igorevna Mazanik<\/strong>, Deputy Head of the Document Use, Information, and Publishing Department;<\/p>\n

Alina Antonovna Shkarina<\/strong>, Deputy Head of the Archival Document Digitization Department;<\/p>\n

Sofia Stepanovna Abaimov<\/strong>, Leading Economist.<\/p>\n

The National Historical Archives of Belarus also awarded a commendation to Irina Ivanovna Bandurina<\/strong>, Leading Paleographer in the Ancient Documents Department.<\/p>\n

After the official reception, a stunning surprise awaited the guests. The celebration concluded with tea and a gigantic, exclusive cake, custom-made especially for the archive’s 88th anniversary<\/strong>. It was the perfect and delicious end to a vibrant day!<\/p>\n
