Participants were invited to present papers on the source study <strong>potential of the collections of the state archives of the Mogilev Region, documents on the history of the Mogilev region in the archives of museums and libraries in the Republic of Belarus and other countries<\/strong>, and the role of Belarusian women in the development of culture, science, education, and the national economy.<\/p>\n<p>In her welcoming remarks, <strong>Archive Director Svetlana Sharaeva<\/strong> noted the importance of publishing and introducing archival documents into scholarly circulation and thanked the participants for their support of the initiative to hold the archival readings.<\/p>\n<p>The plenary session featured speeches by <strong>Igor Barinov<\/strong>, a senior researcher at the Eastern Slavic Studies Department of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (\u00abUniversity Mogilewiana (based on materials from the Central State Archive of Moscow and the Central State Archive of St. Petersburg)\u00bb), <strong>Yuri Raemsky<\/strong>, academic secretary of the cultural institution \u00abMogilev Regional Museum named after E.R.Romanov\u00bb, (\u00abMaterials from the Russian State Military Historical Archive as a source on the history of Mogilev Provincial (1915-1917)\u00bb), and <strong>Igor Pushkin<\/strong>, associate professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and Physical Education of the educational institution \u00abBelarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies\u00bb, (\u00abAsabl\u0456vasts\u0456 ethn\u0456chnaga skladu Mag\u0456le\u045eskaga rayona na pershym etap savetskay madern\u0456zatsy\u0456 pavodle arkh\u0456\u045enykh kryn\u0456ts\u00bb).<\/p>\n<p>The conference&#8217;s session, \u00abSource Study Potential for Researching Document Sources from the Mogilev Archive on the Contemporary History of Belarus. The History of the Mogilev Region in Archives, Museums, and Libraries of Other Cities\u00bb, was fruitful and rich, covering a wide range of aspects of the Mogilev region&#8217;s history, from biographies and genealogy to the reflection of global historical processes and events in archive and museum collections, and the specifics of record-keeping in various historical eras. Speakers included <strong>museum staff from Bykhov, Grodno, and Minsk, staff and doctoral students from the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Mogilev local historians<\/strong>. Papers were also presented by staff from the archive&#8217;s Department of Scientific Use and Publication of Documents.
